01 - Set oven temperature to 375°F.
02 - Combine tomato pasta sauce, dried Italian herbs, and garlic powder in a medium bowl.
03 - Mix ricotta or cottage cheese with half of the grated Parmesan cheese in a separate bowl.

11 - Let sit for 5 minutes, then garnish with basil leaves and cracked black pepper if desired.

# Expert Tips:

01 -
  • It costs less than five dollars and tastes like you tried way harder than you did.
  • Crispy ramen edges mixed with creamy cheese and tangy sauce hit different every single time.
  • You can have it on the table in under an hour, and your kitchen smells incredible the whole time.
02 -
  • Don't skip discarding the seasoning packets—they'll overpower the sauce and make the whole thing taste like a salty mess.
  • The water is essential; without it, your ramen stays crunchy in the middle instead of becoming tender and noodle-like.
  • Covering the dish for the first half of baking is non-negotiable; uncovered the whole time and you'll get a dried-out disaster.
03 -
  • Mix a little reserved tomato sauce into the ricotta before spreading it—it adds color and flavor to each layer.
  • If cottage cheese is your choice over ricotta, blend it smooth first so it spreads easily without lumps.
