Banana Nutella Folded Tortilla (Print)

Warm Nutella and bananas wrapped in a crispy folded tortilla for a quick, sweet snack.

# Ingredients:

→ Main

01 - 2 large flour tortillas
02 - 4 tablespoons Nutella or chocolate-hazelnut spread
03 - 2 medium ripe bananas, sliced
04 - 2 tablespoons chopped hazelnuts (optional)
05 - 1 tablespoon unsalted butter for frying

→ Garnish (optional)

06 - Powdered sugar for dusting
07 - Whipped cream or vanilla ice cream to serve

# Directions:

01 - Place a tortilla flat on a cutting board. Make a single cut from the center to one edge to divide it conceptually into four quarters.
02 - Spread 2 tablespoons of Nutella on the first quarter. Arrange half the banana slices on the second quarter. Sprinkle 1 tablespoon chopped hazelnuts on the third quarter, leaving the fourth quarter plain or with extra Nutella.
03 - Starting at the cut edge, fold the Nutella-covered quarter over the bananas, then over the hazelnuts, and finally over the last quarter to form a compact triangular fold.
04 - Repeat the filling and folding process with the second tortilla and remaining ingredients.
05 - Heat butter in a non-stick skillet over medium heat. Place the folded wraps in the skillet and cook for 1 to 2 minutes per side until golden and crispy.
06 - Serve warm, dusted with powdered sugar and topped with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream as desired.

# Expert Tips:

01 -
  • It's ready in 10 minutes but tastes like you spent actual time on dessert.
  • The contrast between crispy tortilla edges and melty warm Nutella is impossibly satisfying.
  • You can customize each wrap differently, so no two bites feel boring.
02 -
  • Don't skip the butter—it's what gives you those crispy, golden edges that make this feel restaurant-worthy instead of just microwaved.
  • The tortilla has to be fresh and pliable, or it will crack during folding and you'll have chocolate everywhere (which is delicious but messy).
03 -
  • Use medium heat on your skillet—high heat will burn the tortilla before the Nutella gets properly melted inside.
  • If the tortilla isn't pliable enough to fold, let it sit for a minute or two at room temperature, and it will become more cooperative.
