Golden puff pastry filled with Nutella, shaped into festive snowflakes. A quick, delightful treat for any occasion.
# Ingredients:
→ Pastry
01 - 2 sheets ready-rolled puff pastry (approximately 8.8 oz each), thawed if frozen
→ Filling
02 - 6 tablespoons Nutella or comparable chocolate-hazelnut spread
→ Topping
03 - 1 large egg, beaten (for egg wash)
04 - 1 tablespoon powdered sugar (for dusting)
# Directions:
01 - Preheat oven to 400°F. Line a baking tray with parchment paper.
02 - Unroll one sheet of puff pastry and place it on the prepared tray.
03 - Evenly spread Nutella over the first pastry sheet, leaving a 0.4-inch border around the edges.
04 - Place the second sheet of puff pastry on top, aligning edges carefully.
05 - Place a small glass in the center without pressing. Cut the pastry into 16 strips from the glass edge to the pastry edge using a sharp knife.
06 - Gently twist each strip 2 to 3 times, optionally pinching ends together to form snowflake shapes.
07 - Remove the glass and brush the pastry surface with beaten egg for a golden finish.
08 - Bake in the preheated oven for 18 to 22 minutes until puffed and deep golden brown.
09 - Let cool slightly, dust with powdered sugar, and serve warm or at room temperature.
